Commune accommodation optional

Living in the Target Life Commune provides a supportive community of like-minded individuals, opportunities for socialising, having fun, and opportunities to learn valuable life skills like sharing and conflict resolution. It also supports personal development and can be a great way to build lasting friendships. Overall, living in a commune during a gap year can be a rewarding and enriching experience. It is however not compulsory to stay in the commune. Day students will get the full benefit of the Target Life year.

We are located at Schoongezich Guesthouse, Elarduspark, which is our new campus for 2025. This new commune represents a significant upgrade from our 2024 accommodations. Each room will house three to five students, with an en-suite bathroom. Every room also has a small fridge. The rooms are separate from the social areas, offering students a quiet, private space. The girls’ and guys’ rooms are separate. The commune also features a lovely garden court and an industrial kitchen for students who wish to cook for themselves. Additionally, we are working towards arranging affordable pre-paid meal options from Tuesday to Thursday evenings. The social areas are perfect for family building and awesome socializing.

As part of the guesthouse, the property is very secure. Parents visiting for the weekend are welcome to stay at the guesthouse.

Cost: R 3200 per month for 10 months
